The Troop holds regular weekly meetings twelve months of the year, except for major holidays (as determined by the Scouts and Scoutmaster) and GCPS student breaks. Meetings are normally held at Trinity Lutheran Church each Monday, beginning at 7:15 pm and ending at approximately 8:30 pm.
The typical meeting consists of formal opening and closing ceremonies led by the Scouts, during which the Pledge of Allegiance, the Scout Law, the Scout Oath and the Outdoor Code are recited. An activity makes up the bulk of the meeting. Sometimes the activity is a learning experience, like fire safety or first aid. Often our Troop plays games during meetings – we want to have fun! Inevitably there are announcements about upcoming events.
