Scout Meetings
March 22: We will have camping prep., checking patrol boxes, and advancement
March 29: We have the induction ceremony, and a slide show about the troop.
April 5: The meeting will be T.V. Shows being related to scouts (first aid House)
April 12: Hike to puffers pond
Camp outs
March 27-28: we will go to Arunah Hill in Cummington. The drive will be 45 min. to 1 hr. Also wear warm clothes it will be windy.
April 19: we will go to a camporee in Acton, Mass. We will hike 7-9 miles o the Isaac Davis Trail
May: we're going to another camporee at Umass
June: Friday-Saturday we're going biking on Marthas Vineyard. You may bring your own bike (encouraged) that costs extra money, but if you don't you have to rent a bike which in not free.
Other Events
April: the older scouts may be able to go white water rafting.
Tripp is officially a Eagle scout as of March, 10th so his Eagle Court of Honor will be soon
The court of honor will be held on June 14th. On June 26th National Youth Leader Ship training will take place this is open to anyone 13 or older.
We could possibly camp at Mr. Rice's house.
Also we could have a group of scouts work on the Paul Bunyan Award
If the April camporee falls through we could go to the Howe Caverns
Maybe we will camp in or by the Baseball Hall of Fame
We are considering a lumber jack competition
If we have an Iron chef it could using only food from the cupboard.
On August the 7th of 2010 we will be going to the New Britain Rockcats
Gates open 5:35 pm
The game starts 7:05 pm
Other information:
We will have 5-7 new scouts coming to our troop
We could have our troop website upgraded so look for Troop504.com
We will be choosing patrols for the new scouts, so if you know them and can give information contact Mr. Denit
The next meeting of the Patrol Leaders Council will be 3-4:30 on sun day the 11th of April
