Scouts advance through ranks by acquiring skills in a range of activities (camping, outdoor cooking, first aid, CPR, swimming, fitness, environmental awareness, citizenship, fire making, use of axes and saws, knots and lashings, orienteering), serving their community and demonstrating leadership. Serving The Community
-Scouting for Food for Amherst Survival Center
-Volunteering at Not Bread Alone
-Cleaning church grounds
-Participating in Eagle Projects
Recent Eagle Projects
- Painting the exterior of a church building
-Creating hiking trails in conservation areas, including building bog bridges
-Extending and improving hiking or biking trails
-Collecting and shipping used textbooks to Sri Lankan schools
